Tenor Antonio Gerardo Albores Máttar (El Remendado) will be making his Opera Theatre debut in Carmen. A native of Monterrey, Mexico, he began studying voice with Martile Rowland inn July, 2007 and was enrolled in this past summer’s Colorado College Vocal Arts Symposium. Previous studies occurred with Gail Dubinbaum, in Phoenix, AZ, and at Brooklyn College with Mignon Dunn. Complete roles performed include Eduardo in Rossini's La Cambiale di Matrimonio and Nerone in Monteverdi's La Incoronazione di Poppea.
