Mezzo Soprano Valerie Nicolosi (Papagena) makes her Colorado opera debut with her performance in The Magic Flute. Valerie recently moved to Colorado Springs from Providence, Rhode Island and has performed principal roles for Opera Providence, Dayton Opera, Abilene Opera, Knoxville Opera, St. Petersburg Opera and Commonwealth Opera. She has made concert appearances with the Lexington Symphony, the Indian Hill Symphony, Knoxville Symphony, Chattanooga Symphony, Falmouth Chorale, Rhode Island Civic Chorale and Orchestra, Hartford Festival Orchestra, St. Alban's Symphonia, Longwood Symphony and the Boston Ballet. In the Spring of 2008 she released her first CD recording, The Rosary in Song, based on her popular recital by the same name.
