Brian Harris, tenor

Brian Harris, a native of Woodland Park, Colorado, is pleased to be making his professional operatic debut with Opera Theatre of the Rockies. Mr. Harris has previously performed as an OTR chorus member for productions of Candide, Die Fledermaus, and Carmen. He has also appeared as Goro in Madama Butterfly, as the Venditore di Canzonette in Il Tabarro, and as the title role in Leonard Bernstein's Candide for Vocal Arts Symposium. This past year, Brian performed two solo recitals at Colorado College and appeared as the tenor soloist in Schubert's Mass No. 2 in G Major with the Colorado College Choir. Mr. Harris studied for one year at the University of California, San Diego, before returning to Colorado Springs 2003 to study voice with Martile Rowland and Victoria Hansen. He will graduate this spring from Colorado College with a B.A. in Music and as a certified teacher of secondary school music. He plans to move to New York City in the fall of 2006 to continue his operatic voice studies.
