Born in Wisconsin, bass, Erik Kroncke, has a learned role repertoire of nearly 60 different roles, of which he has performed over 30 in the past seven years. He has appeared as the Commendatore, and Masetto in Don Giovanni, Ramphis in Aida, Mephistophele in Faust, Il Grande Inquisitore, and Fillipo in Don Carlo, Colline, Alcindoro, Benoit in La Boheme, Simone in Gianni Schicchi, Monterrone and Sparafucile in Rigoletto, Le Duc and Friar Lawerence in Romeo et Juliette, Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte, Doctor Bartolo in Le Nozze di Figaro, Osmin in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Gremin in Eugene Onegin, Hunding in Die Walküre, Fafner in Das Rheingold, Daland in Der Fliegende Holländer, and Dr. Grenvil in La Traviata.

He has appeared with Chautauqua Opera, Natchez Opera Festival, Brooklyn Opera, Bronx Opera, Austin Lyric Opera, Amato Opera, Opera of the Hamptons, Salt Marsh Opera, New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera, Delaware Valley Opera, Opera Fort Collins, Hudson Opera Theater, and Opera Theater of the Rockies.
