Peter Tuff was featured in two concerts in the Inaugural Season of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. He sang the bass roles in the Orchestra's formal debut of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 and Choral Fantasy in October, 2003 and returned in February, 2004 to sing the role of Escamillo, the Toreador, in a Night at the Opera with the Opera Theatre of the Rockies. He also opened the Philharmonic's second season as soloist for Carmia Burana
Tuff studied voice privately in San Francisco for many years with the late Dickson Titus. Tuff moved to Vienna, Austria, in 1990 where he was a member of the Vienna State Opera until August 1999. He also appeared in the Salzburg Festival. Tuff has sung both leading and supporting roles in over 75 operas.
In Colorado, he has appeared in productions with University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and also with Opera Theatre of the Rockies in Colorado Springs-as Sulpice in Donizetti's Daughter of the Regiment most recently performed the role of Dandini in Rossini's Cinderella.
