Katrina Twitty, soprano

Katrina Twitty completed her Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and her Master's degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Denver, Lamont School of Music in 2001. She has performed numerous principle roles with the University of Arkansas and Lamont School of Music Opera Theater programs, including Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte, Cunegonde in Candide, Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte, Mrs. Ford in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Cleopatra in Handel's Giulio Cesare. She performed the role of Just Jeannette in the musical Too Many Sopranos in 2004 and Lucy in The Telephone in 2005 with the Passaggio Opera Company of Denver, and sang Marsinah in Kismet with Utah Festival Opera in the summer of 2005. Ms. Twitty's current honors include placing as a Regional Finalist in the 2004 Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Opera Auditions, as well as Fourth Place in the 2004 Denver Lyric Opera Guild Competition. She currently studies privately with Kenneth Cox, Director of Voice and Opera Theater at the University of Denver Lamont School of Music. Ms. Twitty is a member of the voice faculty at Red Rocks Community College and the Vocal Performance Institute of Arapahoe Community College.
