Steven Walz

Tenor Steven Walz (Lippo Fiorentino) is a native of Hershey, Nebraska who received his BFA in vocal performance from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and his graduate degree from the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. This past season, Steven was seen in the roles of Giuseppe in Opera Colorado's production of La Traviata, Hadji in Tulsa Opera's Lakme and Samuel Chase in Utah Festival Opera's 1776. Mr. Walz also covered the role of Radames in Aida at Utah Festival Opera this past summer. Mr. Walz has also appeared with the Rocky Mountain Center for the Musical Arts as King Kaspar in their annual production of Amahl and the Night Visitors, the tenor soloist in Orff's Carmina Burana with the Lakewood Symphony as well as being a member of the Opera Colorado Chorus for the past three seasons. Steven lives in Denver and studies privately with Cathy Kasch.
