The Pikes Peak Opera League was founded in 2001 as a continuation of the Colorado Opera Festival Guild, which was established in 1979.

 

The League formally became associated with the Opera Theatre of the Rockies in 2003, supporting the activities of several organizations that promote the art form of opera in the Pikes Peak Region.

 

The Pikes Peak Opera League provides significant support for all of Opera Theatre of the Rockies’ efforts to create an opera-friendly environment for Colorado Springs and the surrounding communities. Thus, it is the hope of both organizations that, through the years, there will be a substantial growth in building diverse opera audiences across southern Colorado.
